time flies indeed. within a few weeks of not updating, i've actually "flown" through the holidays and the first week of school. and this is already the second week! which means i have about 10 more weeks before i get to go home again.

i wonder if i should actually start capitalizing my first letter of every sentence again. i mean, i still do that in other places, but it's only in my blog that i actually skip that. vocabulary still stays and so does indentation. i don't find it hard. i simply do not comprehend the point of using short-forms and abbreviations of words, like you becomes u, whatever becomes watevr or however the hell you do that. it makes it so hard to understand. u wudnt knw whtr wat u interpret iz rite, evn tho i hv no problem wid it. so please, save your english and type correctly, cause it does help. and you can type your documents much faster (as i do now, standing at 110wpm cause i can't be half-assed to increase it. XD)

anyway, school's been quite boring. so far no fail yet in any tests, and i got nearly full marks for my trigo identities topical assessment. :D except for the part where i forgot to simply sqrt(20). half mark deducted. crap. XD nearly failed my geog but survived thanks to moderation. bio was a narrow pass at 16/30. sux. D:

i've been very busy with chinese orchestra. i don't find the standard of the team that bad (even though i screwed up many times now during practices). it's really more of the problem of confidence. percussion has made huge improvement! and we have a new vibraphone. :D syf will be soon. we're aiming for gold with honors as usual. and i really do feel like composing a long love-letter to the e-group and wake everyone up and get everyone psyched up for the thing. cause i feel there are many areas where we can improve on, not just technical skills.

anyway, for those trying to strangle me for not updating my blog, it was all because of webdesigning. XD seeing that my website was in such a pathetic state, i took up the task of designing a website completely from scratch, only armed with a few icon designs that i had, and a huge 2400x2400 image of the newest ipod touch. it was seriously hell trying to design this stuff on a laptop. i needed fireworks, dreamweaver and photoshop all open at the same time on a laptop without any graphics accelerator, and with only 2gb of ram. i wish i had a mac! ):

and google was definitely the best friend i had. thanks to google i learned quite a bit of php and how to retrieve and process rss feeds. and i replaced the cbox and uploaded another that i found through google, which would be more simplistic, and ugly, but more useful for me at the same time. and getting the helvetica font was hell! i had to take it from some warez site in the end, regretfully, because i can't seem to extract mine via ssh from my ipod touch. html gave me hell as well as browsers didn't seem to show exactly how i wanted it, and i had to pump in xampp and run it just so i could process php.

still too lazy to collate links for the "links" page on my site. i'll probably start looking for some and then designing them. i'm sorry if you can't copy any part of the addresses in the contact link, but i had to make it into images to prevent anyone from using spambots and kill my email with "OMG FREE XXX" or "VIAGRA IS THE BEST FOR YOU" mails, if you get what i mean. XD

ah. as time flies (yeah right), the term shalll end in oone week's time. though hell, has this been quite a term. XD

well this week ain't gonna be anything close to celebration. vvery busy week i tell you. monday would be chineese cct, tuesday would be bio ct + physics prac, wednesday for geog poster deadline and english compre test, and there'll still bee a practical test for chemistry onn thursday. well, at least friday would be a school holiday. missing out on pe sadly, but at least it's ggood to skip the other 3 lessons. XD

speaking of which, i totallyy forgot to make a packing list! so i guess i'll throw in whatever there is into the suitcase. i gotta bring my chemistry notes back as well as my ss notes because of crappy tests after that. good heavens it's been postponed! otherwise there'll be 9 freaking tests on the same week. *breathes in deeply*

this holiday i won't be able to rest much too. there'll be maths tuition for me to boost up my knowledge before coming back to face mrs lim again. no idea why, i learn much better if it's taught in cantonesee. sometimes i just can't get it in if it's in chinese or even in eenglish. no idea why. maybe my mother tongue is still my mother tongue? XD ah well! not like teachers here know how to anyway. and oh yeah, nearly fforgot help for physics too. !@*&!%@^&!@%)

you know, these days there's a sudden increase of mails like getting some thoousands of dollars from some freaking agency if you forward a mail. orr remember the mail where you'ree gonna get cursed for millions of years if you don't forward one single mail in a few seconds? vvery scary. - - maybe even the mail which tells you the zero-sector hard drive virus crap. well news flash, it doesn't exist! so stop forwarding mails that have nil facts inside. just googling will show you its authenticity after looking through 40+ titles of the seearch results, so save bandwidth. kthx.

as i say: "fool me once, shame on you. fool me twice, shame on me. fool me 500 times on forrwarding a freaking fact-less chain mail, damn myself to hell." XD

so anyway! i'm looking forward to going home. i'll sms everyone again (annoying ain't i?) once i have reception of digi at the checkpoint. can't wait to see everyone too. ah! home sweet home in 1 week's time. meanwhile, i'll worry about my tests first. GAH! MUG BIO!

aaaanyway! i've been elected as chairman of hullett 1! yay. i think. XD been going through loads of stuff. hopefully it won't take up too much of my time. appointed a few people as sub-committee. i just don't like some people who are offered the post of a sub-committee member yet walks away like some ignorant fool just because he's the freaking chinese monitor and a member of raffles voices. no offence to others out there, but some people needs to learn very basic respect. i won't put any names in, but i guess "siapa yang makan cili dia berasa pedas" can explain everything in a nutshell.

also, engyee's going to try for asean scholarship! best wishes to her so that she'll be able to get it. haha. she deserves it for all her hard work in my opinion. hopefully the singapore government will think of it that way as well. and i've also encouraged angelyn to join seeing how she's quite good at english too. (: but yeah, that's basically it. i personally am on a variant of the asean scholarship. :D best of luck again to engyee and angelyn! (: (:

i did quite poorly in my physics and maths. darn. so my dad gave me a scolding and wrote to the school (without my knowledge :O) to request to leave from monday to friday during the holidays for tuition. and there i was thinking that i could rest! sigh! but i know he's concerned about my studies. so i shall not disappoint him and will try and get more tuition while i'm back. it's a must. no playing around! *reminds self constantly!*

that day there was this very huge storm which ended at around 5 something. then the sun came out. and guess what, we were able to see the rainbow, and its reflection!





i planned to take more but as the sun set, so did the rainbow disappear. ): ah well. i guess i was quite lucky to see it. above photos are taken from the staircase on hullett block! XD

there'll be tons of class tests on week 10, which includes but (probably) not limited to: social studies class test, chinese common class test, english comprehension test, maths topical assessment, chemistry practical test, chemistry open-book assignment and physics practical tests! not to mention the deadline for geog poster. argh god damnit, what's with teachers crowding everything at the last week of term 1?!

i'll be returning home on sunday night, march 15. yesyesyes. gonna be bringing stuff back! food especially. lol. and some shampoos, shoes, etc etc! yay. i think. gotta bring my earphones for repair this thursday beforehand. haven't been listening to music for quite a while. boring during prep la. help. ):
